💥 Came to my Parent's hometown due to war! Peace amidst uncertainity
State of war was mine & Han's first every experience. From all the paranoia from news / twitter and Han's panic attack later, we decided to leave the country for Vietnam.
While I was waiting for my Visa at my parent's hometown - ceasefire happened and peace came back. The whole idea of leaving your home in just 36 hours is scary! I was too attached to my life, routine & house there but this was something I needed.
Parent's home was fun with huge family. A beautiful change. A blessing. And we remembered how fun just moving was from our travel days.
First 7 days at home were really great and it was with a beginning mind but some part of me is just not happy here! I would always get sick and I have flu while I'm writing this. Earlier it was just 1 day but it has moved to 7 days. I'll find out more about this feeling.
As of now, I really miss my home & freedom in Dharamshala and we're going back there in 2 days.
📱 Whatshappening in full flow!
Vibe coding is fun! Understanding and building -> react native navigation, auth, core components, connection to supabase, using rails with supabase as backend, building local first, .... -> this is too much fun! Codebases (React native & rails) are fully set up and it is so fun adding more features.
Last 10 days haven't built anything as creative self was hijacked with war anxiety & doing & providing mode but so looking forward to completing the app in another 5 days. Probably the beta will be ready by end of May and launch in 2nd week of June. So excited for this.
👨🏫 Thinking of making a boilerplate and tutorial on how to build apps
Windsurf, claude code & claude is my AI stack and I'm having fun. Probably I even want to build something like shipfa.st but for react native explaining how to structure the app and getting it live in 3 weeks instead of 3 months with integration to stripe, supabase, auth, etc
📧 Beatshine emails done!
took a long time to break the ice! whew!
added $56 MRR! Not much but happy that I cleared a 8 month old mind backlog.
I feel it is plateaued now with ~$200-250 MRR revenue & ~40% profit margin - it is not something I wanna hold onto now.
♥️ Vulnerability cards
Few questions made:
Q1: What is something you are doing currently that makes you feel really alive & present?
Q2: What is that 1st thing that comes to your mine you are struggling with atm?
Q3: What is your rich life?
Q4: What creative outlets bring you fulfillment?
....
Quite some of them will be ready in some more time. Not rushing but any question I feel like wow - I write it down!
🏅 Completed Goldmine (data cleaning)
1st script I vibe coded to clean & de-duplicate data from 3 sources. Great to break inertia and feeling pretty happy about it.
got cold email software lifetime - ManyReach.com. Have a feeling a lot of things from providing service to selling data can be done in near future with this data that can give me passive revenue.
🧘🏻♂️ Tushita retreat
Dharamkot is an hour away from our home and we found a beautiful meditation center there. Such a gem - from their courses to library to serene forest and mountains all around.
The 3 day course really helped me understand Buddhism philosophy of always being in prime self and I had aha moments relating ego to parts in IFS.
I am very curious to understand the true nature of reality and I'm diving deep into it. Meditation & reading books are not fully happening yet but I can see them as one of the paths. No urge towards doing them
🦶🏻 Bamboo is kicking
This feeling is surreal! Baby is responding to our voice and this is one of the purest feelings I have right now!
Though Han is in little discomfort with her belly growing but both of us are deeply loving it.
⛰️ Dharamshala life: stabilised
Getting a little hot but still quite manageable considering North India. Still happy with low fan and no AC as of now.
Our neighbour has a cow we got fresh milk supply now!
Last 3 months, we made this house our home - from getting carpets for room to quite some kitchen ceramics, new working chair and so many plants! (we got about ~20 strawberries recently)
Fasting for 2 days in a week with just 1 light meal in evening.
I am much better chef now! Systems are getting made. Copied a lot from my friends on how they manage their life. Like marinating chicken, having light breakfast, etc.
Expenses still on higher end and I feel that's the new ordinary now. Sometimes the scarcity comes. Had some deep talks with me and it is better now. Still way to go.
